Finished taking the last few things down from @grayswharfstudios yesterday and before cleaning the drawing off the window I took a couple of ‘after’ pics - I’ve enjoyed noticing on each visit the way this changed over time - parts of the drawing ran and faded with the weather, the patterns and textures made by raindrops, neighbouring sections of colour affecting each other, merging into one another…

It’s been so helpful in so many ways to do this show, and I am eternally grateful to my supportive web 🕸️ I love what I do and I couldn’t do it without you all, thank you x

“As we head towards Christmas, our final show for the year sees a vibrant collection of paintings and ceramics, full of colour and shape. Bringing together artists we’ve seen throughout the year at Morgans, the exhibition includes paintings by @maxinehartpaintings , @marthaholmes_studio , @e.crow.studio , @saulcathcart , @philipjohnlyons and @janine_burrows_studio alongside ceramics by @kittyhillier , @ktmkatie , @juliaflorenceartist and @wendyjwilbraham . @megasinegg returns to Morgans with a delicate series of handmade tin Christmas decorations and small glazed embossings. We will also be introducing a ‘Paper Works’ series to Show No.6 in early December, something we’ll share a little more about soon.”

I am so grateful for the opportunity to try out this idea that lived in my head and then grew and evolved through the making. I’m really enjoying the glimpses of how every visitor sees things differently, what catches your eye 👁️ And the light and shadows and fast world passing by continue to play a key part, the composition is constantly changing. Everything is temporary, in flux…

Stepping back, looking through another lens, enables us to see things in a whole new light.

This is all so useful for developing my practice, essential… invaluable! Thank you 🙏

Learning all the time through experimentation, I’m getting braver with using different tools for surface texture, and layering colourful slips and glaze on clay, and feeling excited about a few pieces coming out of the kiln this week 🤞
